About Us
LeafingSoil is a living classroom in west Singapore - a quiet place to slow down, get your hands in the soil and let the noise fall away. Guided by permaculture and regenerative practices, I show how even the smallest spaces (balconies, corridors, containers) can take root and flourish. Come for the calm. Leave with hands-on skills, confidence and grounding.

In my 1000 sqft outdoor garden, participants engage directly with living soil, plants and pollinators - not in air‑conditioned classrooms, but in a vibrant ecosystem.
Find calm and inspiration in nature’s materials - from leaves to stones, and what the earth offers. This gentle, hands‑on practice invites people of all ages to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and rediscover balance through tactile exploration.

Buy freshly harvested edibles, soil, plants and seedlings
Freshly harvested herbs and vegetables - harvested the same day you collect. Let us know what you need if it is not on our website. We rotate our crops and have too many to list.
Seedlings - common and rare varieties including hard-to-find gems you won't easily get elsewhere, rooted in our own microbe-rich soil.
Soil Starter - made from reclaimed kitchen scraps, worked on by our thriving earthworms and soil life. Packed with beneficial microbes for healthy, resilient growth.

When are your operating hours?
By Appointment between 7am to 7pm everyday including Sundays and Public Holidays.
How do I make payment?
Payment may be made via cash or PayNow upon arrival, before the start of session. Sessions run even if you are the only one booked.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Sessions go ahead in light rain. It is part of gardening in tropical Singapore.
I follow lightning alerts on the myENV app. If there is heavy rain or a lightning alert, we stop for safety and take shelter. If it clears, we carry on.
If a session is cancelled or cut short, you are welcome to join another session at no extra cost. Refunds are not given.
How do I get to LeafingSoil?
LeafingSoil is inside BABA POTTER compound at 13 Jurong West Ave 5, Singapore 649489.

How should I prepare before my session?
Read our Indemnity & Participant Responsibility(on the left of this page) before you come. I will ask you to confirm on WhatsApp that you have read it.
Wear covered shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring water and insect repellent.
Please arrive 5 minutes early. The garden entrance is at the Baba Potter compound. LeafingSoil is a 100 m walk from the gate, next to the car park.
Indemnity & Participant Responsibility
LeafingSoil sessions happen in a working outdoor garden. I take reasonable care to keep it safe. Some risks come with being outdoors, and by joining you accept them. These include:
- Touching soil, food waste and plants, with or without gloves
- Walking on uneven, natural paths
- Weather, including sudden tropical rain and heat. If there is lightning, we stop and take shelter.
- Insects and wildlife such as mosquitoes, centipedes and lizards
I ask that you:
- Tell me before the session about any allergies or health conditions I should know about
- Wear covered shoes and bring water and insect repellent
- Follow safety instructions, especially around tools
- Supervise any children you bring
LeafingSoil is not liable for injury or loss arising from these natural risks, except where caused by our negligence.
For children's sessions:
- A parent or guardian must sign up on the child's behalf and share any allergies or health conditions
- Children must follow the facilitator's instructions, especially around tools and plants
- A parent or guardian must be reachable by phone throughout, and drop off and pick up on time
